New York Geothermal Energy Organization (NY-GEO) is a not-for-profit trade association, founded in 2014. It dedicated to promoting geothermal heating and cooling. Their 70 founding manufacture, install and advocate for the use of ground-source heat pumps to heat and cool buildings throughout New York State.

Perfect Partner

Ice Air Joining NY-GEO is Important for Energy!

Ice Air joined NY-GEO to help with their mission of growing the geothermal heat pump industry and developing its workforce.

Our unique position in the HVAC industry makes us a perfect partner.

Ice Air is an innovator – we paved the way for Heat Pump technology, delivering performance of a VRF system with the convenience of a PTAC. Our products provide low ambient performance with NO electric heat required.

For example, we put the condenser and evaporator all-in-one package while providing individual temperature control and options for outdoor air and sound attenuation. Plus, our heat pumps are easy to install with extremely low maintenance.

Typical heat pump systems require electric resistance heat to kick on when outdoor temperatures drop below 40°F, making them unsuitable for areas with long winters. VRF systems maintain heat pump operation down to -13°F, but they can be expensive to install. Ice Air offers Existing Buildings – Replacement Models AND new construction Geo-Thermal heat pumps. A Grant from the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chain (MESC) within the Department of Energy (DOE) supported Ice Air efforts and will help NY-Geo’s mission.

“Getting more American-made electric heat pumps on the market will help families and businesses save money with efficient heating and cooling technology,” said U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm. These investments will create thousands of high-quality, good-paying manufacturing jobs and strengthen America’s energy supply chain, while creating healthier indoor spaces through home-grown clean energy technologies.”
