Hamden, CT- September 29, 2024
Ric Nadel, Founder and CEO of Ice Air, is a proud supporter of Run/Walk To Save a Life 5K race, created in honor of Christopher Andreozzi who passed away suddenly from sudden cardiac death caused by an arrhythmia in May of 2023.

Chris was a life-long resident of Hamden, CT who graduated from Hamden High, Trinity College and Yale University. Chris was a devoted psychiatric APRN at Yale New Haven Hospital and Turnbridge. He was passionate about patient care, believing that everyone deserved to be treated with dignity and respect.

Chris was an avid supporter of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, whose mission mirrored his philosophy. Half of the proceeds from the race will be donated to this organization. The remainder will be donated to the Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome. Their objective is to advance the research and medical education that will ultimately prevent avoidable young deaths from cardiac arrhythmias.

The race was run on a scenic course through the woods at Multi -Sports Academy. Health care workers were on site to demonstrate about how the Automated External Defibrillator, together with CPR best practices, can save lives.
