Proud to Support YALD for Second Year
Ice Air presented David Calderon with a check today to sponsor the YALD Giants for the 2014-2015 season. David co-founded the Young Adult Leadership Development athletic league for youth in Washington Heights, NY. He coaches the Giants team (obviously), and with Ice Air’s contribution, all players can participate for free. A great cause!

Mo Siegel and Ric Nadel Escape Alcatraz…Again!
On a recent business trip to San Francisco, our fearless leaders just had to do a quick swim in the Bay. They had both already “escaped Alcatraz” but this was their first time swimming San Francisco Bay on the same day. Power to them!

Mo Siegel named finalist for 2013 The Barra Award for Marathon Swimming
An impressive nomination for the male marathon swimmer with the most impressive body of work, considered as a whole, in 2013. Nominated by his fellow marathon open water swimmers, Mo is happy to have been recognized for his swims this year, including the S.C.A.R. swim, 3 out of the 8 bridges, Cape Cod Bay and a Tsugaru Channel attempt. Ice Air’s David Calderon Co-Founds Community Youth Sports League
David Calderon, Ice Air’s Service & Purchasing Manager, is doing his part to help the kids of Washington Heights, NY stay off the streets and stay in shape. He recently became President of Young Adult Leadership Development (YALD), a program which aims to bring youth together around sports while encouraging them to learn the importance of sportsmanship, education, athleticism and responsibility.
Founded in 2011, YALD started with 25 participants and 4 football teams. They more than doubled in 2012. With the help of corporate sponsors, like Ice Air, who donated $1,250 to the program, YALD is looking forward to a fun and exciting 2013, featuring a new website and lots more youth football! They will be expanding to other sports, including basketball, all intending to keep the children of the community busy after school and to promote good behavior and long-lasting values.
David has been a youth football coach since 2011, and will continue coaching his team, the Giants, this coming fall! Go Giants!

Ice Air Appoints New SVP of Customer Service
Ice Air, a leading manufacturer of HVAC products, has recently named Harlan Saunders as their new Senior Vice President of Customer Service. Mr. Saunders is an experienced business owner from Kentucky, who most recently worked in the food services industry. He brings a great deal of experience to his new role, and is known for possessing an ideal mix of sunny, Southern hospitality with shrewd business acumen.
Mr. Saunders will be tasked with ensuring that problematic customers are dealt with effectively, most likely by playing them the soothing music of Barry White.

Ric Nadel Escapes from Alcatraz – Triathlon-style!
Ice Air co-CEO, Ric Nadel, completed the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon in San Francisco, CA. After diving into 50-degree water in the San Francisco Bay, swimming 1.5 miles, biking for 18 miles and running for 8 miles, his final time of completion was 3 hrs and 53 minutes. Quite a feat!
Mo Siegel – Marathon Swimmer Extraordinaire!
Ice Air co-CEO, Mo Siegel, is a Triple Crown Open-Water Swimmer and member of the Half-Century Club for swimmers who have completed a marathon at over 50-years-old. He swam the English Channel in 14 hrs. and 18 mins. and has also completed the Catalina Channel Swim, 8 Bridges Hudson River Swim, the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim, and many others.
