Mount Vernon, NY – Jason Dowdy has been named General Manager for the company’s new plant being built in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Ice Air, a leading global provider of climate control solutions, was awarded a grant by the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chain (MESC) within the Department of Energy (DOE) to support the manufacturing needed to meet the anticipated growing demand for electric heat pump HVAC equipment – the equipment that will be manufactured in the plant. Dowdy’s announcement was made by Ric Nadel, Founder and CEO.
“Jason is a results-driven executive with two decades of extensive experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain management, and business development,” Nadel said in making the announcement. “His proven ability to execute strategic initiatives, streamline operations, and drive profitability made him the ideal candidate for this position. We’re all excited to be working alongside him for our latest opportunity in expanding our business.”
In his new role of establishing the manufacturing division for the company, Dowdy will be overseeing the facility setup, including site selection, equipment acquisition, and workforce development. In addition to securing government incentives and ensuring regulatory compliance, Dowdy brings a variety of skill sets to the company, including supplier negotiations and cost-effective material sourcing strategies that will optimize supply chain operations.

Prior to joining Ice Air, Dowdy was Chief Operating Officer for House of Design Robotics, where he implemented operational strategies to drive efficiency, cost savings, and revenue growth. He also worked at Americas Munters as VP of Global Operations, directing operations across seven manufacturing plants in North, South, and Central America, managing a $400M budget and 900+ employees.
